YouTube constantly updates their video processing and resolution systems, which sometimes affects our ability to download higher resolution videos from their links. While most users aren't experiencing any changes, some are seeing temporary differences in how videos are processed.

As we wait for YouTube to complete their updates, here are some quick workarounds to ensure your videos upload at full quality:

Option 1: Upload directly from your computer
If you have the original video file saved on your computer, you can upload it directly to Sermon Shots using the upload From this Device option.

Option 2: Download from YouTube first, then upload
  1. Go to YouTube Studio
  2. Find your video in the Content section
  3. Click the three-dot menu next to your video
  4. Select "Download" to save it to your computer
  5. Then upload the file through "Upload from Computer" in Sermon Shots
Here's a quick video that shows you how: How to download your own video from YouTube and Facebook

This gives you even more control over your video quality, and many of our users find direct uploads actually work faster than YouTube links! These temporary YouTube changes usually resolve themselves within a few days.
