The maximum clip length you can currently create with Sermon Shots is 2 minutes and 30 seconds.

This time limit is designed to align with the best practices of major social media platforms, which are optimized for short-form video content. Short clips are more likely to capture attention quickly, encourage engagement, and be fully watched—helping you reach more people with impactful moments from your sermons.

Why the Limit?

Most platforms like Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts prioritize short videos. Keeping clips under 2:30 makes it easier for your content to:

  • Be shared widely

  • Perform better in algorithm-driven feeds

  • Be quickly consumed by mobile audiences

Want to Create Longer Videos?

We're working on a new feature called Sermon Recap. This will allow you to create longer-form content (around 4 to 10 minutes) that provides a broader overview of your sermon.

While we don’t have an official launch date yet, we’re excited about this upcoming feature and will be sure to notify you once it’s live!
